Blacksmithing is Enjoying a Resurgence in the U.S.

The Artist-Blacksmiths' Association of North America (ABANA) now claims nearly 5,000 members, double the number it had 10 years ago according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Only about 10 percent of the members are considered full-time professional blacksmiths. The rest are hobbyists or only work part-time in the trade.
