3D Systems Announces Low Cost 3D Printer

3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: TDSC) announced it has developed a high-resolution, fast and economical solid imaging solution designed specifically for the jewelry industry. The new InVision™ HR machine will be priced at $59,900 USD.

High-resolution parts produced by the machine are used for jewelry design validation, communication, aesthetics and as direct patterns for flask casting.

The company is showing the finely-detailed, intricate parts produced on the new machine at Europe's largest jewelry trade show, BaselWorld 2004, through April 22.

Shares of 3D systems stock have risen over 12% since the announcement.
