What concept cars lack in practicality they often make up for in appearance. The Peugeot Onyx hybrid is a fine example of this.
Unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September, the supercar has a striking appearance
as a result of polished copper panelling gleaming down each side of the car's exterior.
Contrasted with the black carbon fibre that forms the hood and remaining body panels, in the showroom, the Onyx may look like an over-sized Duracell battery.
But the thinking - which is intriguing - is that each car will develop its own, unique appearance as the copper weathers, oxidizes and forms a patina layer.
Just don't get in any fender benders that require body work, or you'll have one lop-sided looking supercar.
